Following on from his 2010 hit, Way Back Home, Danny will be treating his fans to a whole evening of exclusive videos and interviews in Edinburgh on the evening of February 20, 2011.
YouTube star Danny MacAskill continues ‘Way Back Home’ success with new documentary.
‘MacAskill Conquers’ is a special, intimate one hour show of all the incredible footage that Danny MacAskill has produced. Taking place at The Green Room at Hawke and Hunter, fans will see for the first time a feature length documentary on Way Back Home, along with the two clips that made him famous.

www.redbull.tv that evening at 7pm GMT (8pm CET) and will be repeated at 7pm EST for American fans.
Ten months in the making, the documentary features behind the scenes interviews with Danny’s friend and riding clip director, Dave Sowerby, and also some of his closest pals from the Isle of Skye. For the first time ever, people will get to see how this boy from Dunvegan went from roguish bike fanatic to YouTube sensation and what his parents’ reaction has been to this new found fame.
Danny said: “It’s going to be amazing to see everything I’ve ever done put together into one show – I really hope people like it. So much hard work has gone into making this as special as possible for the fans, it should a great night.”

Background In April 2009 Inspired Bicycles rider Danny posted a video on YouTube that was to change his life. Overnight, the video got a few hundred thousand views and as of today has been watched well over 20 million times. The world went crazy for Danny. If you’ve lived under a rock and haven’t seen it yet or can’t get enough of it, you can watch it here:
Since the video went live, things progressed really quickly. Danny found himself featured in the New York Times, was nominated for the Action Sportsperson of the Year Category of the Laureus World Sports Awards and has now finally found the time to shoot a new video.
He is super stoked about the way things are going for him: “I still can’t believe the first video reached so many people that actually liked it and passed it on. I mean, even Lance Armstrong thought it was a must see! Now I’ve been able to make another, even crazier video and basically ride my bike as a job. It doesn’t get any better than this.”
